Oil on Canvas

Lindsey Meyer grew up in Conway, Arkansas where her love for art began at an early age. She attended college at the University of Arkansas where her passion for design and textiles led her to receive a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising. While working as an intern in the garment district in New York City, Lindsey discovered her passion for graphic design, and later returned to school to study visual arts. Upon arrival to campus, Lindsey enrolled in a watercolor course that sparked once again her affection for painting.

Although working mostly in oil, Lindsey often transitions into multi-media works, acrylic and watercolor. Her paintings are alive with rich color, texture, and movement valuing these aspects as more important than a recognizable image. Fashion, interior design and textiles are her main sources of inspiration, finding that her roots in apparel and visual arts have had much influence in her paintings. Often finding work outside of fine art, Lindsey also does freelance graphic design and interior design for fun.
